The HUBLEY MG is an ambitious project.
It incorporates a fully restored large Hubley MG roadster, with a Cox dual-bypass .049 engine turning a drive-shaft set in dental ball bearings.
A complete brass sub-frame was fabricated, and is "sandwiched" between the die-cast model's body, and bottom frame.
The grille is cut open, bar-by-bar to admit cooling air.
The fully functional brass exhaust header mates with the modified Cox muffler body.
"Hubley Green" windscreen and vent window are hand-formed to complement the vintage look!
The engine, flywheel, fuel tank and complete running chassis are fitted within less than a millimeter of space within the coachwork.
While we don't make this level of construction on an everyday basis, it is available to those who demand something of the highest level of engineering to enhance what was once a simple toy!
